Lots of forums are talking development in the world today. This makes it a lot easier to understand that global develoment can not be at a stand-still, and it is imperative to stress that people regardless of their background are responsible for advancing develompment.
In Africa, the slow forward growth in development is as a resul of bad and unaccountable leadership, corruption, infrastructural decay, disregard for the rule of law and the rights of the common man. But all these problems exist more because leaders make more noise about them than solve them. Sadly, youths are stuck right in the middle. This is the more reason why they (youths) must really begin to take responsibility for what is happening in Africa.
However, assigning the blame is not the issue at hand. What is needed is to focus on our options that will help Africa to excel over these challenges that have given the continent a slow start.
Issues like the MDGs, leadership and development, empowerment and future projections for the youth, climate change and among others must be shown a strong committment and priority.
